Program Policy
We may modify, add, or delete activities from our programs based on camper interests, abilities and/or facility space.
Camp Registration
Camp spaces are limited and registrations are processed on a first-come-first-served basis. While we try to ensure that the camps listed on our registration page are still accepting campers, in the event that you submit a registration form for a camp that no longer has space we will notify you — within two (2) business days — that the camp is full.
The registration process is not complete until fees are paid.
Refunds and Cancellations
Cancellation and refund requests must be made in writing via email to scmadsummercamps@centennialcollege.ca. All cancellations are subject to a $50 administration fee. Refunds for cancellations requested within ten (10) business days of the start date of your child’s camp are subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the total fee. There are no refunds for cancellations requested after the start date of your child’s camp.
In the unlikely case where a camp is cancelled because of low enrolment, we endeavour to give families as much notice as possible. We will transfer campers to another camp program if families are interested and space is available. Otherwise, we will provide you with a full refund.
Change Requests
Any change requests to transfer your child to a different camp (if space is available in the requested camp) must be made at least ten (10) business days before the start of the original camp your child is registered in.
Emergency Protocols
Centennial Creative Camps follow all the emergency protocols (COVID and other) put in place by Centennial College at the time the camp is operating.
Please refer to Centennial College’s Emergency Procedures for current emergency preparedness practices.
Further information will be sent you in the Camp Welcome Package, at a later date.
Allergies
To respect and accommodate any food allergies of fellow campers, please ensure that all lunches and snacks are completely nut and seafood-free.
We will ask for specific allergy details in the Camp Welcome Package at a later date.
Code of Conduct and Camp Expectations
Our camps are a safe and inclusive space for everyone. In accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code, every camper and camp staff are expected to be respectful towards all campers and camp staff, at all times.
In cases of misconduct, the following progressive steps will be taken (if the misconduct persists):
- Verbal warning (camper and parent/guardian will be notified).
- Written warning — Parents/Guardians will receive a disciplinary notice to be signed and returned before the participant can rejoin camp. Please note- a follow-up meeting with the camp supervisor may be conducted.
- Dismissal from camp
In cases of serious misconduct, we will progress directly to Step 3 (noted above), after a meeting with the parent/guardian.
Please note that dismissed campers will not receive a refund of any kind.
Social Media and Recording Practices
At Centennial Creative Camps we adhere to strict social media and recording practices that protect the privacy and confidentiality of our campers and staff.
Only designated camp staff are permitted to take pictures and videos of campers, only with prior, written consent from their respective parents/guardians, for the purpose of promoting future camps.
Personal mobile devices (cell phones, tablets, etc.) can only be used by campers during breaks and lunches.
Campers are not permitted to take pictures or videos, of other campers or staff, at any time, to store on their personal mobile devices, or to share on social media.
If campers are taking pictures or videos of the campus or objects on campus, they must ensure that no campers or staff are captured in the background of any of their images.
